Win a unique HOY Autumn edition bike with road.cc and Evans Cycles!

Custom-painted Sa Calobra signed by the man himself. Post your best autumn riding pic to enter.

Heads up people! To celebrate the fact that we're all going to have to dig our longs and lobster gloves out of the back of the drawer, we've teamed up with HOY Bikes and Evans Cycles to give you the opportunity to win a very special bike indeed.

You might remember that a few weeks ago we went down to London to meet up with Sir Chris, and he was in the process of building up three very special Autumn edition bikes. Based on the £1000 Sa Calobra .003, they've been taken away and powder coated in some autumnal tones, and then it was the job of the main man to build them up with some matching kit and hand-apply the decals. Check out this video of Chris working on the bikes.

That makes these bikes very special indeed. There's only three of them, they're all different and they're all hand-signed by Sir Chris. A truly unique and beautiful thing, and we have one to give away. Ours is the one pictured on its own above; it's a deep red finish with bird decals, matching leather bar tape and saddle and red-accented tyres. Roll up to a club run or sportive on that and you can absolutely guarantee there won't be someone on the same bike...

Entries are now closed

Thanks for all your entries! We're currently compiling a shortlist of 20 entries and from that Sir Chris himself will choose a winner on Friday 25 October.

Terms and Conditions: The competition will run until Friday 18 October 2013. Employees of Farrelly Atkinson, HOY Bikes, Evans Cycles, and their families and agents are excluded from entering. Entry is open to UK residents only. Only one entry per person. The winner will be selected from all the valid entries and notified using the email address associated with their user account. Farrelly Atkinson are not responsible for non-receipt of a winner's email. Should the winner not respond within three days, another will be selected. The name of the winner will be posted on road.cc following the draw. The prize is a Custom Hoy Sa Calobra .003 bike; no cash alternative will be offered. The judge's decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into.

Dave is a founding father of road.cc, having previously worked on Cycling Plus and What Mountain Bike magazines back in the day. He also writes about e-bikes for our sister publication ebiketips. He's won three mountain bike bog snorkelling World Championships, and races at the back of the third cats.

Leaving home I immediately hit this climb, peaking at 16% in places, hard work on legs that have not had a warm up.

These discarded fingerless mitts on the marriots way cycle track in Norfolk seemed to sum up the changing of the seasons quite nicely.

On entering the park, we are two very happy animals.

OK, it is not every autumn that I have to transport such a big pumpkin, but it something which I only do in autumn 3 For me the bicycle is everyday transport as well as sport and leisure, it is a central part of my life.
