Video: The making of a Moots +bonus vid

Go behind the scenes with Moots as they open their Colorado doors to a film crew

Moots, based in Steamboat Springs in Colorado since 1981, have an enviable reputation as makers of top end titanium frames. Moots frames still are highly coveted. They were one of the earliest adopters of the material and that expertise and passion for Ti comes through in this video, offering a rare insight behind the scenes to the processes involved in making a Moots titanium bike.

The video includes insights from some of the staff plus a generous helping of the local countryside, which looks beautiful. It also shows the various stages of making a frame.

While that video sets the scene, this one explains a little more about the actual manufacturing process.

David worked on the road.cc tech team from 2012-2020. Previously he was editor of Bikemagic.com and before that staff writer at RCUK. He's a seasoned cyclist of all disciplines, from road to mountain biking, touring to cyclo-cross, he only wishes he had time to ride them all. He's mildly competitive, though he'll never admit it, and is a frequent road racer but is too lazy to do really well. He currently resides in the Cotswolds, and you can now find him over on his own YouTube channel David Arthur - Just Ride Bikes
