Hubjub under new ownership and celebrating a decade of serving the fixed gear community

Online boutique now run by Heart of Wales Bikes but staying true to its niche heritage

Online fixed gear boutique Hubjub is celebrating 10 years of supplying the finest fixed gear products with a new owner and an improved website. You can read the story of how Hubjub came to be in this feature; the site was launched by entrepreneur and off-road fixed pioneer Will Meister in 2003 to meet the needs of the UK's growing fixed gear community.

It filled a gap in the growing fixed gear market and over the years to come the site stayed true to its niche heritage, acquiring a reputation as the place to go for specialist custom orders, especially of NJS keirin racer kit and the Phil Wood range of hubs and BB parts and spares. Customers included professional cyclists and a couple of national cycling teams.

Will made the decision to move on from Hubjub in the middle of 2012, and following a brief hibernation during the second half of that year Hubjub reopened for business in its new home at Heart of Wales Bikes. "Regular customers will be pleased to know that the Hubjub values and personal service are still at the core of the site even whilst we reach out to new audiences," said Heart of Wales' Drew Shergold of the site.

The website itself has been refreshed, with a wider range of products. The full list of manufacturers now stocked is All City, Bike Medicine, Brick Lane Bikes, Crane, Deda, Dia-Compe, DID, Dura-Ace, Eldi, Euro Asia Imports, Gebhardt, Gusset, H Plus Son, Healthy Bag Bags, IRD, Izumi, Kashimax, Level, Manuri, Mks, Newbaums, Nitto, Phil Wood, Soma, Strong, Sugino, Surly and White Industries.
