Fantasy Cycling: win a Garmin Edge 510 in the Spring Classics!

Garmin's newest computer is up for grabs if you pick the right riders from Milan to Liege...

For many people the Fantasy Cycling season starts here. We've had a lot of fun up until now, but quite a few of the riders in the Tour Down Under, or the Paris-Nice, or the Tirreno-Adriatico, will have been turning the legs with a sole aim in mind. The Milan - San Remo. The Paris - Roubaix. The Tour of Flanders. A classics win is a big prize.

While we're on the subject of prizes, there's about £450 worth of kit up for grabs if you're on top of your game through the Spring Classics season. For a start there's the ubiquitous pair of road.cc socks if you're top scorer on one of the individual races. But if you put a run together and end up in first place come the finish line in Liege, you'll be walking away with a Garmin Edge 510 GPS computer worth £249.99.

If you've missed all the fanfare the Edge 510 is one of Garmin's newest models, sitting alongside its bigger sibling, the 810. We've got both in on test - Mat's been playing with the 510 and you can read about it here. It's compatible with both GPS and the Russian GLONLASS satellites for faster pickup of your position, and it'll sync with your smartphone for live tracking, social media sharing and weather updates.

Anyway, you can have a play with all the new features if you're our number one fantasy player in the Spring Classics. The second-placed directeur sportif can console themselves by pumping up their tyres in style with a Lezyne Carbon Pressure Drive M pump worth £64.99, and third place gets a set of Knog Boomer rechargeable lights worth £49.99. Our top purist gets a Gatorade water bottle used by Team Sky's Ben Swift in the Tour of Norway last year. Really!

Game-wise, the Classics are split into three sections. The Milan - San Remo stands on its own, then come the Flanders Classics: Gent - Wevelgem, the Tour of Flanders and Paris - Roubaix. After that the action moves to the Ardennes, with the Amstel Gold Race, the Flèche Wallone and the Liège - Bastogne - Liège.

There's unlimited transfers before Milan - San Remo, Gent - Wevelgem and the Amstel Gold Race, with six transfers available before the other races. If you're playing as a purist you can change your squad in the unlimited windows.

The startlist for Milan - San Remo is pretty patchy at the moment so currently the full roster of the all the competing teams is live in the game. When things become clearer we'll do a cull of the non-riders. Good luck!

a used water bottle...? Lovely. Swap you for one of Laurent Brochard's mullet-strips (still sweaty).
