Top of our list of things that made us wish we were pro cyclists today: this vid

Madison Genesis have been pumping out the vids while they've been out racing and training in Mallorca. The latest one is apropos of nothing, really, just a vid of them riding out to climb Sa Colabra before turning round and beetling back down to the café.

It's beautifully shot, though, and gives a lovely feel for the stiffness of the ascent and the joy (and tight lines) of the journey back down, mixing a bit of GoPro footage in to get a rider's eye view of the hairpins. It's less than three minutes, at the end of which you'll be wondering why you didn't get out on the club runs when you were younger instead of hanging out down the rec scrounging tabs off the 5th years. or something. Anyway, enjoy.

Dave is a founding father of road.cc and responsible for kicking the server when it breaks. In a previous life he was a graphic designer but he's also a three-time Mountain Bike Bog Snorkelling world champion, and remains unbeaten through the bog. Dave rides all sorts of bikes but tends to prefer metal ones. He's getting old is why.

Cool use of tilt shift on the video. Anyone know if a gopro will shoot it or is it done after?

Who cares about the tech of the vid - look at that for scenery to ride in. Though I have to admit my last 2 evening commutes have been lovely (almost total daylight!) even if they are only 40 minutes! 16 4

All that, and steel as well. Lovely. Imagine doing that for a living.

imo, think it would have been better if they had shown it in the right order. early bits showed them going up, then down, then up again, before finishing at the bottom. and the cafe is a very expensive rip off!
