Yoga for Cyclists part 16: Hip abduction and adduction
We give you the tools to your best season ever

Hello and welcome to the last in the road.cc Yoga for Cyclists video series, focussing on hip abduction and adduction. Sounds violent, but you'll soon get the hang of it.

Our resident yoga expert Karen Burt takes you through the third movement of the hips that you need to give some TLC to - even though it's not a movement actually used in cycling.

Of all the exercises, it could be one of the easiest, so if you've struggled through the series so far, breathe a sigh of relief.

Now you've got all the moves to hand, make your own routine up of the various exercises to suit your own needs, and don't be afraid to mix it up.

After an unpromising start, having to be bribed by her parents to learn to ride without stabilisers, Sarah became rather keener on cycling in her university years, and was eventually persuaded to upgrade to proper road cycling by the prospect of a shiny red Italian bike, which she promptly destroyed by trapping a pair of knickers in the rear derailleur. Sarah writes about about cycling every weekend on road.cc.
