Team Sky Rapha video in full: The good, the bad, and the year ahead in cycling

Wiggins, Uran, Eisel, Boasson Hagen and Hayman talk about what the bike means to them

As they gear up for the 2013 season, members of Team Sky talk candidly about their experiences in the world's greatest sport in this brand new video.

We teased you last week with a short version of this film, featuring Rigoberto Uran, Bernie Eisel, Edvald Boasson Hagen, Mathew Hayman and Sir Bradley Wiggins, talking about what the bike, and cycle racing mean to them, and the highs and lows of training and competing.

What's more, it was a first view of the brand new Rapha Team Sky kit, which is now available from Rapha.

The most obvious change is that the blue stripe, formerly across the chest, now becomes an armband, a signature detail of Rapha kit from its very first jerseys eight years ago.

The union flag design on the cuff of Bradley Wiggins' right sleeve is similar to one that previously appeared on Rapha's Great Britain country jersey - in WIggins' case, it marks him out as a former national champion.

When the kit was first announced, the volume of traffic to the Rapha website brought it down temporarily.

Rapha has released a Team Sky version of most of its product range, with 60 items ranging from a £240 softshell cycling jacket to a £15 pair of socks, all in the Team Sky colours of black and bright blue.

One of the most fascinating parts of the 8- minute video is the racers' accounts of high-speed crashes and their acceptance that crashes and some times serious injury are a part of the job.

Sorry but this is a lazy write up. There are plenty of images floating around now, including tweets, pics from the latest Cyclist mag, Sky's Facebook page, and also the tv coverage on the recent Revolution, that show very clearly no white panel on the rear. Instead a strip that's blue with white text/logos. So yes, we all know there's no longer the white panel.

As for the business about the old white panel deflecting heat, Rapha have used their Coldblack dye technology which enables the black to deflect back at least as much UV as light colours. Again, this has been described in many places.
