Paddy Power has become the latest bookmaker to offer odds on what Lance Armstrong may or may not say during his interview with Oprah Winfrey next week.
Yesterday, Ladbrokes revealed on Twitter that it had opened a market on “buzz words” that the disgraced cyclist might use during what some believe may be a confession to doping during the programme, to be screened next Thursday evening at 9pm Eastern time. It will also be streamed online.
Odds offered by Ladbrokes include 4/1 ON for Armstrong saying “sorry,” a nice looking price of 2/1 for his utterance of the word “conspiracy,” or 4/1 for mentioning the name “Floyd Landis.”
Rather than confine itself to individual words or phrases, Paddy Power’s odds look more at the wider content of the interview. Here they are.
To confess to using banned performance enhancing drugs during his cycling career 1/6
To cry tears during the interview 4/9
To accuse another professional cyclist by name of taking performance enhancing drugs illegally 3/1

How many times will he say "tourdefrance" like it's one word? I reckon at least once every 2nd sentence.
I reckon he's going to say, "I'd have gotten away with it too if it wasn't for those meddling kids." Then he's going to pull his Lance Armstrong mask off and reveal that it was Ben Johnson off of the 100m all along.
I'd be surprised if that didn't happen.

I love this. It suggests that people are treating the whole charade with the contempt it deserves. There are also variations on bullshit bingo doing the rounds.
I notice they don't have 'conspiracy', 'witchhunt' or 'unconstitutional' on the list....
You can get 'conspiracy' at Ladbrokes, they're doing single words be very surprised if 'witchhunt' or 'unconstitutional' weren't on there either
He'll have to be very careful for what he says. A lot of people will be waiting for him to admit liability. He did use very heavy-handed tactics against his accusers in the past. There are many people who had to pay enormous legal bills for damages. And since he was lying, they'll be wanting it all back.
I'd be very surprised indeed if he says much at all. In fact, there's a good chance he'll find someone else to blame.
