Revolution grabs global attention thanks to Förstemann's thighs - highlights tonight on ITV4
Saturday's event in Manchester also gave British fans first close look at Rapha's kit for Team Sky
Britain's premier domestic track event, the Revolution Series, has attracted worldwide attention in the unlikely - in every sense of the word - shape of Robert Förstemann's thunderous thighs.
Pictures taken on Saturday in Manchester of Sian Welby, who presents the highlights programme airing tonight on ITV4 at 8pm, measuring the German sprinter's impressive muscles were picked up by media outlets in Britain and elsewhere and were soon being shared by fans on Facebook and Twitter.

It's perhaps worth remembering that Förstemann was actually called up to Germany's squad for last summer's Olympics as, of all things, a mountain biker.
He didn't actually start the cross-country race, his naming for the event allowing Germany to in effect have an additional sprinter in their track squad due to Olympic rules that allow a rider to transfer from another discipline. Förstemann came away from London with a bronze medal in the team sprint.
Also getting attention for quite different reasons was the Rapha skinsuit being sported by Olympic gold medallist Peter Kennaugh of Team Sky - the first time that fans have had an opportunity to see the kit the British ProTeam will be sporting throughout 2013 up close.
