Silva Commute clip-and-go light launched

New Commute light offers 180 degrees of visibility

Silva have expanded their range of bike lights with the new Commute, a single LED design with 180 degrees of visibility ensuring you’re seen from the sides as well as the front.

Available in four colours (green, turquoise, purple and grey) the Commute is a simple clip-and-go light with a rubber body that wraps around the handlebars and hooks into place. It’s a simple design that has become very popular in the past five years and for very good reasons: it doesn’t require any tools and takes mere seconds to fit and remove.

Inside the light is a single LED with a 45 lumen output and uses three AAA batteries to offer between 20, 50 and 100 hours with the three modes, max, min and blink. The case is splashproof and capable of withstanding temperatures down to -20 °C, which we can’t see being a problem in the UK.

The Commute will be available in January 2013 from Silva and will cost £19.99
