Two routes for Ryder Ride

Charity cycle this weekend

A charity bike ride takes place this Sunday on the Mapledurham estate in Oxfordshire and there is a choice of two routes available. The second annual Ride for Ryder Bike Ride will raise funds for the Sue Ryder Care Hospice at Nettlebed, Henley-on-Thames.

There are two routes to choose between – The ‘Ride for Ryder’ route which is 10 miles and suitable for families and leisure cyclists or The ‘Chiltern Route’ which is 30 miles and is for keen cyclists, and this route includes hills, and both routes run through an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Those not cycling will be able to enjoy refreshments on site in the beautiful grounds of Mapledurham Estate.

Organiser Sarah Smith said: “Each year we have to raise £1.4 million to continue providing skilled and gentle care to people from Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire. Ride for Ryder is a really fun way to get involved and every person taking part will be making a difference and will help us help more.”

Anyone keen to take part in the Ride for Ryder Bike Ride can call Sarah on 01491 641070, email sarah.smith [at] suerydercare.org or register online at www.suerydercare.org/rideforryderreading

Entance is £8 for adults and £4 for under 18s.
