Green Oil update White Super Dry Chain Wax

New and improved dry chain wax formula now available

Green Oil, the eco-friendly lube, cleaner and degreaser specialists, have updated their White Super Dry Chain Wax with an improved formula.

Our review over a year ago wasn't exactly gushing with praise, but Green Oil's Simon Nash tells us the new formula is looser and smoother so it should cling to the chain for longer and be less prone to wash away as easily as before. It also boasts increased longevity due to containing a natural anti-oxidant.

Sounds good. And to find out if the new formula is the improvement it promises to be, we've got some in for test. We'll put it on a couple of road bikes and see how it fares. We'll even try it on the 'cross bike as well, and see how it copes in the dirt.

You might think that dry lubes are best saved for the summer, or when it's drier. But it's good right through the year and is ideal for those people who prefer a low maintenance cleaning and lubing schedule for their bikes. It's also good for commuting and city bikes because the dry won't rub off the chain onto your trouser legs.

It's available now and a 100ml bottle costs £6.99. Get it from shops or at

I got their degreaser and chain lube, I'd have to say avoid, I could not use the degreaser to clean the lube off of the chain and the oil goes kind of hard. Muc-off, also states it's environmentally friendly and works awesomely well.
