Video: Three peaks comedy faceplant
We could spend our whole lunch break watching this
Bless Ian! Come on Road.CC it must be worth more than a pair of socks I think a 'Road.CC' L/S jersey should be sent to. Well caught on video!
Poor sod. At least it was a soft landing!

okay, deal. if we can find ian, he gets a jersey too. happy now?
Think Ian needs something to wash his (white!) bike down with (Disk brakes it does looks brand new!)I bet it's still in the garage unwashed. I think some beer will do the trick (I know I'm pushing it!)
is that entry number 250 or 331 ???
250 ian gait
331 ian brown
still on the 3rd switch-back of Bwlch !
looks like 331 to me
actually i think it's 333: Ian Edward Ashworth
Quality! At least he came up smiling!
Just too funny.
and that is why i do NOT have a CX bike.

Ian, is that you?!
If the bicycle was invented tomorrow, it would be seen as the solution, not the problem
Ian should enter again next year draw an even bigger crowd!

Guess he should've carried his bike over that soft bit like the others.
Having gone over the bars in a race a few weeks ago and knackered my wrist in the process I'm glad to see Ian had a softer, if wetter, landing.
OldRidgeback
Free gear?
I'm Ian.

Not a naughty boy, a very dirty boy.
And Ian, Chapeau!
Hey, we found him! he's a mate of Ashton from Hope.
I notice that you are trying to discover the identity of the star of the 3 Peaks face plant video that you have featured on the front page of the website. He is a friend of mine called Ian Ashworth (race number 333) and it was his first time at the 3 Peaks race. I’ve just called him to let him know about his new found fame and he had no idea that the video had even been uploaded to You Tube!!! It was filmed the son of one of our friends, whose dad was also doing the race.

The "here's mud in your eye" line every time he goes down the pub with his mates is going to get tired pretty soon I reckon
That's a brand new Crosslight Pro6 that he's riding [well 'not riding']. Disc brakes are good, but sometimes they just can't save you!
Dom. Kinesis UK.
ah ha ... found him !
and "outed" by a mate too
still on the 3rd switch-back of Bwlch !
Chapeau, absolutely muddy marvelous!
Here he is on a still from the other angle. Smile on that muddy face is great.

brilliant pic! is it yours?
Somebody tweeted yesterday that CX was all about taking part and getting a funny photo of yourself on the Internet. If that is true; Ian is a legend!
Well done to Ian for being a good sport -- love the smile on his face in that photograph!
I just had a nice chat to ian on the phone and I've bundled him up a jersey and some socks to go in the post. He's unsure about his new celebrity status but deffo being a good sport about it. Yesterday when we put the story up the vid had received 134 views, now it's on 11,000... who knows, it might 'do a Joey'
