Tickets are now on sale for the fourth Out of the Saddle evening hosted by brothers Russ and Dean Downing, which has established itself as one of the British cycling calendar’s top charity fundraising events since its inaugural edition in 2009.

Taking place this year on Saturday 20th October 2012, the event will be held at The Carlton Park Hotel in the brothers’ home town of Rotherham – also the birthplace of Team Sky’s Ben Swift who was among the stars who turned out last year.

There will be a buffet, auction and disco as well as guest interviews conducted by David Harmon, Eurosport cycling commentator, and during last week’s Tour of Britain, where Russ helped Endura Racing team mate Jonathan Tiernan-Locke secure the overall win, the brothers were busy drumming up promises of attendance from a number of riders.

Dean, meanwhile, besides competing with Rapha-Condor-Sharp, has also been working with the Out of the Saddle Youth Cycling Club, and this year’s event will support two teenage brothers who recently rode from Land’s End to John O’Groats to raise money for charity in memory of their uncle who died last year due to cancer.

Details of how to buy tickets, which cost £30 each, can be found on the Out of the Saddle website.
