Eurobike 2012: Continental launch Attack and Force tubular tyres

Brand new tubs and a new Grand Prix GP clincher tyre revealed at Eurobike

While Schwalbe jumped on the road tubeless movement with their new release, Continental have added a new tubular tyre pairing to their range: the Attack Comp and Force Comp.

Previously only available in clincher format, the Attack and Force tyre combination has been a popular choice with many liking the combination of the 22m front tyre and 24mm, and this sizing is carried over unchanged into the new tubular tyres.

The company's well proven Black Chili rubber compound is used with a Vectran breaker belt to give extra puncture protection. Weight for the pair is 500g.

There's a new clincher too: the Grand Prix GT. It's a 25mm tyre and uses three layers of puncture resistant belting to make it a good year-round choice for the rider seeking a little more comfort from their tyres. We are getting a pair of these into test; they could be the ideal tyre for the autumn/winter season.

I've been using last years 24C Grand Prix model and they've been perfectly grippy, hard wearing and comfortable.

I'm considering a pair of GT's instead of 25c Gatorskins on my winter wheelset.
