Eurobike 2012: Time Fluidity S road bike with Shimano prototype disc brakes

French brand Time throw their hat into disc-equipped road bike market

Some have been speculating that 2013 is the year of the disc-equipped road bike. We're not sure most of the industry are ready yet, but a few brands were showing them.

Including French manufacturer Time. They had this Fluidity S road bike with disc brakes on their stand, signalling their intentions to be an early adopter.

The brakes are Shimano prototype mechanical disc brakes. It doesn't appear Shimano is ready to offer a hydraulic road disc brake just let, leaving the door open (for now) for smaller manufacturers to meet the growing demand.

These brakes are actuated be regular Shimano Ultegra Di2 brake levers. Rotor size is 160mm front and 140mm rear.
