Dates announced for 2013 Deloitte Ride Across Britain, entries open on 19 September

Options to complete just Scottish or English legs, plus nine-man Team Challenge

Organisers of the Deloitte Ride Across Britain have announced that the 2013 edition of what with 700 cyclists has become Britain’s biggest group ‘End to End’ ride will be held between 8 and 16 June next year. They have also said that separate packages will be available for the Scottish and English legs for those who don’t have time to ride the full  John O’Groats to Land’s End route.

Emphasising the fully supported nature of the ride, which is now entering its fourth year, Nick Tuppen, head of organisers Threshold Events said: “We are proud of the extreme lengths we take to support our riders. On Deloitte RAB there is no lugging heavy kit, no need for complex route planning and no worry of where you will sleep each night.

"Our crew of over 150 ensures that when your bike, body or stomach begins to grumble, we are there with exactly what you need, when you need it.”

The event does not follow the typical route followed by End to End cyclists, instead deviating at times to take in challenging and spectacular roads not usually travelled in a ride of this type, and which makes the full route 960 miles.

The full nine-day package costs £1,750 (see below for full details of what’s included), will follow the same format seen last year, is expected to sell out quickly.

The four-day Scotland Package, meanwhile, costs £950, finishing in Carlisle, where the five-day England Package, costing £1,150 starts off to carry on along the route south.

There is also a nine-person Team Challenge available, with teams splitting into three groups of three riders, each of which ride three consecutive days. Each day, the team’s time will be taken when the first two of those three riders finish the stage, to enable an aggregate time to be calculated for the full nine-day journey.
