Get confident for your commute with London Commuter Rides
Learn route planning and traffic skills with an instructor
If you're interested in cycling to work now the weather's finally half-decent, but you're worried about finding a safe route and dealing with heavy traffic in London, you might want to check out one of the Commuter Rides being put on by British Cycling, Sky and local councils.
You don't need us to tell you that cycling to work is cheap, healthy and mood-boosting, as well as often being faster than public transport or driving.
But if you're in need of a confidence boost, a British Cycling instructor will lead you on a safe route, all the while offering tips and advice on how to ride in busy traffic and how to plan an effective commuter route.
The aim of the rides is to give anyone thinking of commuting the tools they need for cycling to work themselves. The ride is also an opportunity to meet other like-minded people who live near you and possibly find a bike buddy to commute with.
