Vulpine cotton giletVulpine schwag: we have a winner!
We asked to to come on over and tell us what your favourite kind of ride is. And you did, in your hundreds! Obviously the carrot of a bag of Vulpine goodies was on hand to get your creative juices throwing. It's a carrot that can only be eaten by one lucky rabbit though. And by "carrot", "eaten" and "rabbit" we mean "prize", "won" and "reader". I think we're all glad that rather tortured metaphor is over.
Anyway, on to the prize giving. We fired up the random-o-tron and picked one lucky winner for the gilet, jersey and t-shirt. And that lucky winner is DonnyCampo! Their favourite kind of a ride? "Cornish hills, quiet roads, warm sun, with a mid-ride saffron cake and a cappucino." Sounds splendid. And next time they're perusing the cake list for saffrony sustenance, they'll be doing it in some nice new threads. Hurrah.

run for the hills
Long winter rides in the sunshine with snow on the ground - magical!
Out with the lads, pacing eachother (with the occasional cheeky break away on the climbs)
The best ride is the one home from work!
Ride from Ripoll to Girona, via Olot (in Catalonia). Favourite parts were descent from Col de Santigosa into Olot, and the ride on Carrilet from Olot to Girona where we had butterflies flying next to us on a section.
Hard to take the sights, smells and experience out of memory. Itching to visit again

They're all good
Warm, light breeze, smooth tarmac, beautiful scenery and hill-induced pain to raise the appreciation levels. Not too much to ask is it?!

A long swift ride - passing through many towns and different landscapes in one afternoon, preferably with the sun shining!
Sunny weather, quiet roads and some interesting scenery. A place to stop for coffee and cake would nice too.
20% uphill gradient in the blazzing heat. mmm shame I live in scotland not Italy.
Cafe shop, deli, pub, tea shop, home!
(Sun + friends - hills) x few beers after
Any as long as the sun is shining and the wind is behind me (all the way round) so most of the time I ride head down in to the wind with mudguards on !
The one from work on a Friday afternoon
uphill, ayrshire coastal road
Any ride is a good ride. The bad rides are even good rides at the end. Although there is something particularly special about crossing the finish line first.
One that sets out with low expectation but delivers so much more.
lots of hills and cake
long and leisurely
An all-day ride to Brighton and back, with a nice stop at the beach if the weather's good. 120 miles of fun and chatting with friends and admiring the view.
Any club ride where I don't end up dragging 20 guys around for 50 miles then have most of them breeze past me on the final climb.
Taking Lily to nursery in her child seat on the back, me slogging my guts out and her singing "yellow submarine" or "Lily the Pink".
Fresh tarmac, sunny day and quiet roads.
