The King : Sean Kelly.
Well i would say myself, but thats slightly big headed
The whole reason I took up cycling is thanks to Channel 4 during the early 90's with Gary Imlach and Phil Liggett. The cyclist being Miguel Indurain. He got me out on the road, cycling stupidly long distances before i'd even started school.
David Millar. To come through, and come clean, like he did demands my huge respect.
my neighbour Adrian
Beryl Burton
It's got to be The Big Mig - Miguel Indurain. From when I first started watching the TdF back in the 90's. A humble hero!
Gino Bartali for winning that triumphant the Tour back in 1948 - 10 years after his previous victory in 38 - and he did it all on a diet of fags, red wine and pasta.
Robert Millar
Hoogerland. Beware of the fence!
The guy that cycles the dulwich dynamo on a cargo bike with his spaniel in the basket
Robert Millar for this if nothing else: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x3xcUoRl8TU
Der Jensie!!
Stephen Roche circa 1987.
Wiggins
Tony Farrelly.....oh no, wait its probably a toss up between Voeckler and Hoogerland after their heroics.in last year's TdF but by the start of August I'm sure I'll have a new one for 11 months at least. That's the best thing about the tour, there's so.many absolute heroes.
Indurain
It has to be Jeremy Roy of FDJ all day attacking fame
Got to be Cav -not just for winning the worlds, green jersey and three in a row on the Champs but for playing the major role in popularisng cycle in Britain over the last few years.
Jens Voight
The Mighty Thor!
Chris Boardman. I remember seeing him training when visiting my aunt on the Wirral and being amazed a bike could go that fast. And I like his Rohan shirts...
Sean Kelly
Peter Sagan for his explosive riding, massive potential and the fact that he hasn't yet been caught for any doping offences!
local legend Ray Harrad. Coming up for 80 years old and still going strong, encouraging lots of chldren to get into cycling as well as marshalling the local club 10 on wednesdays and riding many miles a week, even the occasional race (including cyclocross). He is known by just about every cyclist in the Dartford area
It's my son Harry. Seeing him progress from balance bike to riding without ever having stabilisers has been proper proud dad stuff.
...the Tashkent Tiger, Djomolodine Abdoujaparov! I remember being so impressed that my 4 year old niece could pronounce it!!
there is a a guy that i cycle with/past on my commute to work, he only has one arm and has modded his bike accordingly to have a single sided handlebar. Legend!
Massive respect to him for still riding so actively
Big mig is close, but it has to be graham obree, true legend
Mark cavendish
Eddy Merckx
