ennello stems with 11 face plate designs to choose from: pre-order now!

Union Jack, Lion of Flanders, Alpe d'Huez, pretty pink and more available; pre-orders open today...

So, you've got your Thomson Team GB seatpost and your Flandria decals but there's still not enough Union Jack on your bike? You could be in luck, thanks to new Swedish brand ennello. They're doing a limited run of stems with a choice of 11 different face plates, of which the Union Jack is one.

Or if you're not from round these parts you might fancy a Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, French or Italian flag, or the Lion of Flanders. There's also Thor's hammer and World Championship stripes (make sure you can live up to that one, eh) or a yellow Alpe d'Huez one with a nice graphic of the climb. There's a pink one too, and also black, although that kind of misses the point of having a fancy custom stem...

The ennello stems have been worked on by Erik Nohlin. Remember him? He was the guy that drew up those excellent Cinelli/Look mash-up bike designs not so long ago and the stem's a classy beast too. You can have one in 90, 100, 110 or 120mm lengths with a seven-degree rise, and it'll set you back between £84.22 and £103.04 at today's exchange rate.

If you fancy one then pre-orders start today for the first run of 500 stems on ennello's website - order early to get your favourite design and they'll be shipping the first batch around the end of March, ready for fitting to your posh bike just as the early summer arrives...

Have to say I like the Alpe d'Huez one but I'd feel a total fraud sticking one on my bike.

Wonder if they have a Tour of Qatar stage profile-themed one 39

Get some cream enamel paint and paint the top. From the tv coverage everything was sand coloured in any case.

And dont forget to rub it down to make it completely flat 24

Surely just an opportunity for someone to print some cheap and cheerful stickers to stick on the front of your usual stem 39

@quango2008

Sorry mate, but printing a picture on a film and then covering it with varnish is not handicraft (which would justify the cost), it's just a simple technological process.

Even though these are beautiful, I'd never buy any of them at this price. If they do find customers, however, great for them!

I know, they are around double that and yes its a low production run (limited edition) but at the end of the day, its a generic black stem with their name printed on, what your paying for is the face plate, not even carbon 3
