Road.cc Mk11 coming soon

Road.cc would like to apologise for the late running of today's service due to engineering works (and that thing that says "Home page Teaser")...

You may have noticed that we haven't been updating the site quite as often as usual today, that's because we're working on our back end. “It's not broken already”, I hear you cry. No it isn't we're working on the next version of the site which we will be rolling out… soon, featuring more bells, whistles and other lovely stuff. In the very short term the down side of more bells and whistles is back end tinkering and phrases like “I'm updating the live code” and “don't touch anything!” being bandied around the road.cc office. It's working though, already our back end has been transformed – if you were sitting here you could see for yourself – and soon our front end will be too. We've also made the most of our little outtage by going out riding the new '09 Cervelo R3 SL, built up with the latest version of Dura Ace, well you would, wouldn't you… In depth reviews of both to follow soon along with much more…

road.cc's founder and first editor, nowadays to be found riding a spreadsheet. Tony's journey in cycling media started in 1997 as production editor and then deputy editor of Total Bike, acting editor of Total Mountain Bike and then seven years as editor of Cycling Plus. He launched his first cycling website - the Cycling Plus Forum at the turn of the century. In 2006 he left C+ to head up the launch team for Bike Radar which he edited until 2008, when he co-launched the multi-award winning road.cc - finally handing on the reins in 2021 to Jack Sexty. His favourite ride is his ‘commute’ - which he does most days inc weekends and he’s been cycle-commuting since 1994. His favourite bikes are titanium and have disc brakes, though he'd like to own a carbon bike one day.
