Fantasy Cycling: Tour of Qatar stage 2

Garmin Barracuda take the win, Boonen keeps the lead...

Garmin Barracuda wrapped up a fine win on an 11km circuit around Lusail today in the Tour of Qatar, with Tom Boonen just managing to stay ahead of Tyler Farrar by a few hundredths of a second. It wasn't so close in the Fantasy Cycling stakes, however, with team So Far so Long racking up an unassailable 112 points to take the stage win from team rex69 and team @3editorial. Not a huge score in the greater scheme of things, but very impressive on a low-scoring team time trial stage. Well done to user cchead77, who gets a Green Oil Eco-Rider kit like this one to make his bikes all shiny...

In the overall standings we have a new leader: rex69, whose joint second today was enough to jump four places into top spot. Yesterday's top scorers skidders skeletons didn't have such a great day with 71 points in the TTT, dropping to 6th but still only 19 points off the pace. In the purists' league it's team Corksoakers in top spot with 250 points, although TDU purist winner alexlnumber1 is up there again, in fourth.

Tomorrow it's back to the long, flat stuff, with a more-or-less-guaranteed bunch sprint, so best get those sprinters back in with your two free transfers...
