Video: Eurobike faves - Milani Gran Corsa

New steel machine from the Italian boutique maker

We're suckers for a hand-built Italian steel racer here at road.cc. We've already shown you our video of the team drooling over the Passoni stand, now it's Milani's turn.

The new kid on the block is the Gran Corsa, a steel race machine fashioned from manipulated Coumbus tubing. With a short head tube and tight tolerances it's very much in the Italian school of sportive bikes, which is to say it's just a classic road bike really. No quarter asked here, and none given. Mr Milani likes it so much that he gave it pride of place along with the Acciaio Puro - also steel - with the Carbon range toppers filling up the cheap seats at the back of the stand... Enjoy!

Dave is a founding father of road.cc, having previously worked on Cycling Plus and What Mountain Bike magazines back in the day. He also writes about e-bikes for our sister publication ebiketips. He's won three mountain bike bog snorkelling World Championships, and races at the back of the third cats.

You know what they say: Steel is real!

I've got a 1985 Raleigh with lovely Reynolds 531c tubing that I have to build up soon. It's a nice ride so the sooner I have it back in action the better.

There's obviously a chink in the all conquering carbon fibre's armour.
