Vermarc launches Flanders Classics range

Epic kit for the Belgian winter

The organisers of top Classic bike races like Gent-Wevelgem and the Tour of Flanders have teamed up with Belgium's bike clothing maker Vermarc to offer a distinctive 'Flanders Classics' range of year-round kit.

In other respects if you said that a company was the biggest in Belgium you'd have people thinking you were setting up for a laugh at one of Europe's smallest countries' expense.

In the case of cycling, though, Belgium is at the very centre of the international sport so when Vermarc say they're big there you take notice and then you look at page after page of their catalogue stuffed full of cycling kit of every style from classic plains through custom club designs to the uniforms worn by Team Quick Step and Omega Pharma-Lotto and you sort of know they're serious.

The Flanders Classics garments cover most eventualities from a currently topical Northern European winter to the milder conditions we enjoy for the rest of the year, treading a fine line in style somewhere just beyond über-fashionable stealth black. Potential Christmas gift buyers can be reassured this is kit for Serious Cyclists with their hearts somewhere up a wet, cobbled hill called the Koppenberg.

  • Jersey short sleeve short zip £49.99
  • Jersey long sleeve long zip £66.99
  • Mid-season jacket £106.50
  • Winter Technical jacket £154.50
  • Bib Shorts £74.99
  • Long bib tights £95.99

There is a reflective strip on the back of the winter jacket handy for those dull winters days! Vermarc have made this Flanders kit to the same standard as the pro team kits so its great value for money!
