We've been beavering away here at road.cc towers to sort out some lovely Merino wool tops for those of you that want to sport the argyle in a classy retro style. And they've finally landed!
Made by the excellent chaps from Woolistic, these two tops are 100% pre-shrunk Merino wool and they're a medium weight fabric that's ideal for UK conditions. Obviously you get all the excellent comfort, temperature regulation and anti-whiff benefits of pure wool, plus the tops are cut a bit looser than our race jersey so you can easily slip a base layer underneath when it starts to get a bit nippy out. That'll be now, then.
Up front you get a neck zip and a big embroidered road.cc logo, and round the back there's three pockets to stash your stuff in, with a small road.cc logo detail on the bottom. The argyle band – which Woolistic knitted specially for us – goes all the way round, and both jerseys have a blue highlight on the left cuff and a 'pedal powered' embroidered motif.
We've done a limited initial run of these jerseys, and we're offering them at an introductory price of £10 off - that means it's £89.99 for the short sleeve jersey and £94.99 for the long sleeve. To get your hands on one, head over to the road.cc shop. Of course they'll both complement a pair of road.cc socks very nicely, while you're there...
