Revolution Series dates announced

A chance to see the big guns of British track cycling in Olympic mode

The 2011/12 Revolution Series will take place at the National Cycling Centre on October 29, November 19, January 7 and January 28.

The series will see the return of the Revolution Championship with eight teams competing for points in a league format. Last season Maxgear took the title just ahead of Team Sky. Both will feature in the competition again this year along with other British pro outfits with details to be announced over the coming weeks.

The Revolution dates form the core of an exciting season of British track racing which kicks off with the National Track Championships (September 28 to October 2) and builds up to the Track World Cup in London (February 18-21), which will act as the Olympic track cycling test event.

With Olympic tickets in short supply these events will provide an opportunity for British fans to see what kind of shape Olympic hopefuls such as Chris Hoy, Victoria Pendleton and Geraint Thomas are in as they gear up for the big one.

Revolution spectators will also enjoy the new facilities at the National Cycling Centre with works now completed on the indoor BMX facility and connecting reception area.

Tickets for Revolution are available to purchase on www.cyclingrevolution.com or by calling 0843 208 0500.
