With less than two weeks to go before the 2011 Giro d’Italia starts in Turin, writer Herbie Sykes, who lives in the northern Italian city, is in London tomorrow evening to sign copies of his book on the history of the race, Maglia Rosa – Triumph and Tragedy at the Giro d’Italia, published recently by Rouleur.

The signing takes place from 5.30-6.30pm at the Frameless Gallery, 20 Clerkenwell Green, London EC1R 0DP (Farringdon tube), which is also hosting artist and designer James Straffon’s Gran Corsa d’Italia exhibition.

Those purchasing the book at tomorrow evening’s event will also have the opportunity of meeting Italo Zilioli, winner of five Giro stages but never destined to win the overall title – he finished second three times in a row starting in 1964, and also got on the podium in 1969, when he was third.

If you can't make it to the signing tomorrow, you can order the book, which costs £29, directly from Rouleur.
