Fantasy Cycling: who's King of the Classics?

Some great virtual racing to match some great real racing...

The dust has settled on another Spring Classic season and we're pretty sure everyone agrees: it's been a real corker. There's been some fantastic performances along the way, capped off with a hat-trick for in-form Philippe Gilbert in the Ardennes races. And there's also been some great competition in our Fantasy Cycling league, brought to you in association with Evans Cycles; let's have a look at who's where in the final shakedown.

First off, chapeau to FSO WorldTurnedUpsideDown and Team Livewrong who both managed an impressive 96 points for Liège-Bastogne-Liège. Both had the same six scoring riders: a 1-2-3 of Gilbert and the Schleck brothers, Riberto Uran (5th), Greg Van Avermaet (7th) and Jelle Vanendert (17th). Those two are the final recipients of a £20 Evans voucher for top score in a stage. But who's ended up top of the pile?

After a massive 108-point haul for the Fléche Wallone it was always going to be an uphill task to catch pablo's peddlers, and so it proved. 51 points for stage 7 moved them past 400 points and an average of 58 points a stage over the Classics. oiuroior's 90 points on the final day of racing in the Ardènnes was enough to move ahead of black men into second place, but not enough to steal the lead. Special mention to black men who didn't start until stage two, and averaged an unsurpassed 65 points a stage over the remaining six races.

The full list of Classics winners is below; now we're looking forward to the Giro in two weeks' time. You can make as many changes as you like before the start on Saturday 7 May, and remember: if you're signed up and have a valid squad on the first day of racing in Italy, you're in with a shot of winning an all-expenses-paid trip to see the the finale in Milan, courtesy of the Garmin-Cervélo team. There's runners-up prizes of Garmin GPS units too! Click here to find out more. And of course there's plenty to play for during the Giro itself: there will be spot prizes along the way, and the overall winner in the Giro comp will be the lucky recipient of a Fuji Altamira road bike worth over £1,700!

Is there a season long purists prize? One for those of us who are lazy to aim for?

No prize for purists yet? 7

Not that I'm eligible this time, but was considering it for the Giro.
