Friday Schwag Grab: a road.cc jersey
More high-class clothing up for grabs
road.cc jersey
After the heady heights of the Howies jacket we blagged to give away last week, it was always going to be a let down to return to the seedy world of mugs, t-shirts and general, well, schwag in which the Friday Schwag Grab normally dwells. So to soften the blow a bit we've decided to give you the chance to win one of our very own road.cc jerseys.
Made in Scotland from the finest Plaidyester™ with its proven performance enhancing qualities* and with all the refinements you'd expect from a top of the range jersey:
- zip (hidden so as not to disturb the fine line of the plaid);
- rear pocket – divided into three handy compartments so that you can keep your pre-ride, mid-ride, and post-ride cake, banana, and cake separate;
- road.cc logo (front and back!)
- plaid pattern – pretty much all over
All you have to do to be in the draw is post a comment below. Depending on how many entries we get we'll either use our traditional method of drawing a winner (print the names out, cut 'em up and stick 'em in a hat) or the new nerd-friendly system (export a csv file of the comments, feed the number of entries into the www.random.org integer generator, hit refresh until tony shouts stop)
The judge's decision is exactly that, andyou can't have cash instead. But you can choose from M, L or XL (sorry, we ran out of S and XXL)
* er… okay we made that up, but it looks fast
You're too dismissive of this fine garment, I feel, please include me in.

Im 'in'. In fact I've always been in. I've been wearing argyle sock since I was born (maybe even before that) I keep telling everyone they are 'in' but they say go away you golf freak. They just don't get 'it'.
I always felt that there was something missing from my on-bike performance, obviously it was that fine road.cc jersey, maybe it will lead to a sub 4hour 100km.
I'm in for a L
Yes I will have a bit of that, put my name down.
not all carbon is the same.
I'm in! If possibly not quite as 'in' as steviebike
Spinning on a wheel
Can I have it pleassse, it will look fab on Mt Ventoux this July when we go the see Le Tour (although people may mistake me for a Golfist)
A golfist you say… maybe we should be selling this as a multi-sport top.
I lost my job and need a new jersey for summer, please let me have a size medium if you have no smalls left. Going for the sympathy vote!!! ;o)
Voltaire said "Ask a toad what is beauty....; he will answer that it is a female with two great round eyes coming out of her little head, a large flat head, a yellow belly and a brown back."
He would have worn a road.cc jersey. Put me down for an XL.
A medium in your delightful diamond design please, Sir.
It takes a man to suffer ignorance and smile.
Usually ride in even more garish red peas or team Z jersey, so please stick me down for a medium before Trinny and Susanna have to get involved.
Glad to be a golfist! Well, more of pitch and puttist but whatever
I could do with something for polishing my SUV.
I'll have a bit of that xl action.
I'd like one in medium please! Thanks.
Next best thing to diamonds in a ring..... diamonds on a cycle top. Medium please, as no tiny ones left.
OOOOOOOOH i would love one xl (no i lie i would love a med but an xl it has to be)
many thanks
According to British Cycling the closest I've come to winning anything this year was a fith place in the local under 12s cyclocross. Can you pull names from a hat? I don't have much luck with technological results systems - I'm 34 and I was in hospital at the time of the race!
I'd be a medium..
I could do with something to get me noticed on the roads "what the hells he wearin..."
Wez
Please could my name be entered into the hat, a large would suit me well.
James
Is it available in long sleeves?
Not yet Alan, we do have a long sleeved design on the blocks though
put me in the hat for a medium
On a bike somewhere…
hope the hat is big enough to put my name in? Ta.

That does look quite nice. M for me please.
i'm so in that it hurts
Mmmmmmm........... plaid hides lumps and bumps... that's why golfers wear them. Put me down for an XL

Can a BMXer wear a road shirt? 'Tis pretty... Count me in!
Blend in well with my bike, medium if lucky please.
Put me down for a medium, I could do with an incentive to get out of my large frame, lol!
A large would be very nice for the warm weather.
Cheers..
DrugsAreBad.!!
Plaid would help in conquering those Scottish highlands. Medium please
RJP
Made in Scotland....just like me.
Large, of course.
+1 from me B)
Now, how's the fit? Can't decide between a 'L' or an 'XL'!! (I've lost a little weight so "might" get away with a 'L'..........in my dreams
)

Dead men don't wear plaid....
... so look on this as you keeping me alive.
In an XL top please.
Just the thing to make sure I'm seen when riding to work, assuming those drivers aren't too dazzled
xl would be good.....
I might be able to squeeze into the XL - AERO, BABY!
It'll be just the thing to go with my Plus Fours
I'm up for it so shout stop tony. Large 'll do
one more one last go
You cannot beat a bit of chav chic! Make mine a large one!
Felix
Make mine a L (until I get some serious miles under my belt, then it'll be a M)

Looks like "tartan" to me, and very nice to. XL would be lovely.
Good job that with all this cycling I've been doing I'm down to an XL and that blue would really bring out the colour of skin!
A large would be lovely and the pattern will highlight my plus-fours and match my socks
Enjoy Road cc v. much Love the jersey.
A large would be really good for me. Ta!
Sorry, I've used up my EU quota of wit for the year, mine's a medium. Thanks, P
I need a new jersey to go with the new bike and you can never beat argyle. Arg I'll be the envy of all the other road users. Sorry couldn't resist the pun. Make mine a large one please.
Can you enter more than once?
If so, I'll defo take the XL then..........please

No, that wouldn't be fair plaid… and it would mess up our random number generator
incidentally, if you're wondering why we haven't picked a winner yet it's because it's good friday and there were a lot of hot cross buns to be eaten. i'll be on it later though
Normally we'd put another schwag grab on friday too. but we're much too lazy to schlep into the office now and sort it out. so i guess we'll do it on tuesday provided we survive the cotswold spring classic...
and the winner is... trevor56! luck ol' trev will be winging his way to work and dazzling the drivers of jersey with his, erm jersey. or something. sorry to those that missed out this time, next schwagger on tuesday probably, if we're in the right kind of shape to sort it out.
Well done trevor56
