Friday Schwag Grab: a road.cc jersey

More high-class clothing up for grabs

road.cc jersey

After the heady heights of the Howies jacket we blagged to give away last week, it was always going to be a let down to return to the seedy world of mugs, t-shirts and general, well, schwag in which the Friday Schwag Grab normally dwells. So to soften the blow a bit we've decided to give you the chance to win one of our very own road.cc jerseys.

Made in Scotland from the finest Plaidyester™ with its proven performance enhancing qualities* and with all the refinements you'd expect from a top of the range jersey:

  • zip (hidden so as not to disturb the fine line of the plaid);
  • rear pocket – divided into three handy compartments so that you can keep your pre-ride, mid-ride, and post-ride cake, banana, and cake separate;
  • road.cc logo (front and back!)
  • plaid pattern – pretty much all over

All you have to do to be in the draw is post a comment below. Depending on how many entries we get we'll either use our traditional method of drawing a winner (print the names out, cut 'em up and stick 'em in a hat) or the new nerd-friendly system (export a csv file of the comments, feed the number of entries into the www.random.org integer generator, hit refresh until tony shouts stop)

The judge's decision is exactly that, andyou can't have cash instead. But you can choose from M, L or XL (sorry, we ran out of S and XXL)

* er… okay we made that up, but it looks fast

You're too dismissive of this fine garment, I feel, please include me in.

Im 'in'. In fact I've always been in. I've been wearing argyle sock since I was born (maybe even before that) I keep telling everyone they are 'in' but they say go away you golf freak. They just don't get 'it'.

I always felt that there was something missing from my on-bike performance, obviously it was that fine road.cc jersey, maybe it will lead to a sub 4hour 100km.

I'm in for a L

Voltaire said "Ask a toad what is beauty....; he will answer that it is a female with two great round eyes coming out of her little head, a large flat head, a yellow belly and a brown back."

He would have worn a road.cc jersey. Put me down for an XL.

A medium in your delightful diamond design please, Sir.

According to British Cycling the closest I've come to winning anything this year was a fith place in the local under 12s cyclocross. Can you pull names from a hat? I don't have much luck with technological results systems - I'm 34 and I was in hospital at the time of the race!
I'd be a medium..

posted by tony_farrelly [3556 posts] 10th April 2009 - 17:47

incidentally, if you're wondering why we haven't picked a winner yet it's because it's good friday and there were a lot of hot cross buns to be eaten. i'll be on it later though Smile

Normally we'd put another schwag grab on friday too. but we're much too lazy to schlep into the office now and sort it out. so i guess we'll do it on tuesday provided we survive the cotswold spring classic...

dave_atkinson's picture

posted by dave_atkinson [4775 posts] 10th April 2009 - 19:29

and the winner is... trevor56! luck ol' trev will be winging his way to work and dazzling the drivers of jersey with his, erm jersey. or something. sorry to those that missed out this time, next schwagger on tuesday probably, if we're in the right kind of shape to sort it out.
