Howies Slate River jacketFriday Schwag Grab: Howies Slate River Jacket worth £130!
We've just had a couple of FX bikes in to test from Trek, and the lovely Jez who dropped them off (in exchange for Tiffin and coffee) also came up with a top bit of schwag for us to give away: a Howies Slate River waterproof jacket worth £130! And all you have to do is post to be in the hat.
Not only a posh jacket but a famous one: it's been featured on the Howies Blog, modelled by the big man himself. No choice of sizes I'm afraid, we've only got one and it's a large. It's in royal blue with Bontrager and Gary Fisher embroidered logos on the front and sleeve – it did come from Trek, after all...
Same rules as ever: just post a comment on this story saying you want it and you're in the draw. We'll pull a name from a receptacle next Friday, round about 3pm. The judges' decision etc. No cash prize will be yadda yadda.
Dave is a founding father of road.cc, having previously worked on Cycling Plus and What Mountain Bike magazines back in the day. He also writes about e-bikes for our sister publication ebiketips. He's won three mountain bike bog snorkelling World Championships, and races at the back of the third cats.

That is a really nice jacket. I just got back into riding and with the sun coming out a bit more im loving being on the saddle. Not looking forward to te april showers though but i guess thats were the jacket would really help!

i'm usually an extra large in girth, but this great looking jacket will inspire me to put some miles in to slim down to a large in order to fit into it.

Im in. I've always been 'in'. When I was a kid I wore cardigans now they are 'in'. At the time people called me a twat. No one is listening now. So now blue jackets are 'in' but nobody knows it yet. So it's obvious that I wear it first then it will be 'in'. This might take 25 years but it will be such a great 'in'. Trust me guys.
