Olympic timetable and ticket price details announced

Opportunities to grab a piece of the Olympic action at rock bottom prices

Yesterday we brought you news of ticketing arrangements for the track cycling at London 2012 and today the full Games timetable has been released along with further details of ticket prices.

And there is some good news with opportunities to see events both free of charge or with tickets priced at just £20. The road race events which take place on July 28 (men) and 29 (women) are by their very nature mostly free of charge but for a grandstand view, tickets priced between £20 and £60 available for the home straight and medal ceremonies on The Mall. The individual time trial events for men and women together with the medal ceremonies will all take place on August 1 with the whole day being free and unticketed.

The track competition will take place from August 2 to 7 and for three of the one-and-a-half hour sessions – albeit ones without medal ceremonies – some tickets will be available for £20 with a maximum of six tickets per purchaser rather than the standard four.

For the big track sessions, tickets are, as we reported yesterday, available at five price points between £50 and £325 with a maximum of four tickets available to each purchaser.

The BMX cycling competition will take place at the Olympic Park BMX track from August 8 to 10 with some tickets again available for £20. The cross country mountain biking competition will be held at Hadleigh Farm in Essex on August 11 (women) and 12 (men). For this event tickets are priced at £20 and £45.

So if you really want a piece of the Olympic spectating action at rock bottom prices there will be opportunities to see road racing and time trialling free and gratis or selected track, BMX and mountain biking events for as little as £20.
