Cycling cop connects with riders via Twitter

London cycle squad sergeant to hold physical and online Q&A

A London police sergeant with the City Police cycle squad who tweets under the name Citycyclecop is to host a question and answer session for cyclists which will be available to all via a Twitter feed.

The sergeant, based at Snow Hill police station in the City, floated the idea via his Twitter feed and has received an enthusiastic response. One hundred places are available for the evening which will take place on March 29 from 6-8pm. The venue has yet to be announced but as well as a Q&A there will be networking opportunities.

Citycyclecop regularly tweets about his day-to-day duties and his interaction with both cyclists and motorists, encouraging riders to ensure they are complying with the law and staying safe, while enforcing positive road behaviour from all road users. He is currently closing in on 1000 followers, to boost that number visit @Citycyclecop.

Hope he doesn't Tweet while riding - I think that'd be an offence.

26 Hmm is there a law against it yet? Perhaps we need an amendment to the wreckless cycling acts? 19
