Morvélo collaborate with local brewery on new jersey

Like cycling? Like beer? This could be for you

Morvélo Bicycle Apparel have joined up with Sussex compatriots Dark Star Brewing Co to produce the latest jersey in their range.

Dark Star is an award-winning brewery based next door to Kinesis Bikes, home of The Kinesis Morvélo Project (The KMP) cycle team (well, kind of a team – go to www.kinesismorvelo.com for the details).

Initially, on encouragement from Morvélo, Dark Star sponsored the ever-popular Brighton Big Dog mountain bike event. So impressed by a cyclist’s post-ride thirst, they now sponsor The KMP who offer samples of Dark Star drinks, such as the Espresso Stout, at events they attend,

This led to a demand for a cycle jersey, so Dark Star encouraged the enthusiastic cyclists and drinkers at Morvélo to let their creative ideas flow. Several designs later and the result blends Morvélo's classic styling, Dark Star's logo, and a premium-quality jersey.

The Morvélo Dark Star jersey is available for £45 from Morvélo's online store or at the Dark Star brewery.

Reminds me of how many microbrew companies sponsor races in the US. Rolling over the line of the Pisgah Stage race in North Carolina to a pint of New Belgium Fat Tyre was awesome. More of this in the UK is needed! Bravo Morvelo/Dark Star.
