Big Life Ride aims to raise £1m for cancer charities

Get a team together for a day's circuit riding at Mallory Park...

The figure of one million pounds may not have the mystical status it had even 20 years ago but it is still a great deal of money, especially when raised for charity in a single day.

And that figure is the target of the inaugural Big Life Ride, a sponsored 12-hour cycle relay event aiming to raise the cash for its chosen cancer charities.

The organisers hope to make it an annual event, raising as much money for charity year after year as they can. Backed by commentator Phil Liggett the Big Life Ride wants you and your team of up to 12 riders to each ride an hour or more around Mallory Park in Leicestershire, one of the UK's top motor racing circuits.

The event will take place on Monday, August 15, 2011 and during the day there will be a Big Life Ride Show, where you can visit top cycle manufacturers and retailers who are on hand to offer advice and showcase their products to you, and much more too.
