Video: Danny MacAskill goes to Düsseldorf ... and gets his feet wet

More top skills from trials ace - but it doesn't always go to plan...

Danny MacAskill's latest video sees him head to Düsseldorf , the capital of the German state of Nordrhein-Westfalia, as part of his Drop and Roll tour.

The trials ace runs through his repertoire of skills, though it doesn't always go to plan, with this edit from Red Bull including a moment when he slightly misjudges a jump and gets his feet slightly wet. The water wasn't too deep, luckily.

It's the second video featuring MacAskill riding in Germany to energe in the past couple of months - in November, he teamed up with Martin Söderström to take a road trip through the country, with the film shot in partnership with Continental.

Well, he wasn't exactly a shining example of progressive thought, even if he did make a train run on time.

I'm thinking that there's a lesser-known use of the word 'lion' that means 'fascist troll', as well as the member of the panthera genus that chases wildebeest around the African savanna.

Did Uncle Benito say  anything about living as a cunt?

Which reminds me of something Uncle Benito once said: "Better to live one day as a lion than 100 years as a sheep."

On the other hand, I'd rather spend 100 years pissing myself and dribbling than spend a day being a twunt like Valerie...

Passers-by seem generally unimpressed.  Clearly more exciting things happen in Dusseldorf.

He jumps the bike up on things I would struggle to jump up on without a bike!

If this were my forum,  a hateful comment like that from Valbrona would be a ban.

Anyway, I do wonder at just how powerful Danny's legs are to 'normal' people, he's made an art form out of bunny hopping stupid high stuff in that video.

Is that supposed to be a justification of the shit you spout? You need help.

Do you wake up a knob or are you always a knob? I feel it's the latter...

Given what happened to Martyn Ashton, that's pretty low to put it politely.

Maybe you should check out what's happened with Martyn following his unfortunate accident, perhaps read the full story and then watch the video that features him riding downhill with Danny - somewhat uplifting to say the least, but I suspect Martyn would still prefer to have his legs working, and I also suspect he'd think of your joke the same way I do.

Martyn Ashton may only have half a working body but his positive attitude to life makes him more than twice the man that Valbrona apprears to be.

The "Back on track" video is in my Youtube all-time favourites. I can also recommend his TED x Bristol talk - his short lived career as a kayaker is hilarious.

I'd rather go down doing what he does than many of the alternatives that most of us will face like dribbling our way to the pearly gates after a long drawn out illness or being flattened by a truck on the way to a hum-drum job.
