World and Olympic Champion track star Victoria Pendleton has joined members of the All Parliamentary Cycling Group and other dignitaries on a bike ride around Westminster ahead of Bike Week, which starts tomorrow, and the jaunt was captured in a short film by Carlton Reid, the man behind the I Pay Road Tax campaign, among other projects.

As Carlton revealed on his Twitter stream, the first thing Pendleton, who was riding the bike she has designed for a charity auction that took place at the London Transport Museum earlier this week said to him was “I love your jersey!” – an I Pay Road number in white, naturally.

Among those taking part in the ride was the Mayor of London’s Director of Transport, Kulveer Ranger, on one of the bikes from the soon-to-be-launched Barclays Cycle Hire Scheme, resplendent with the bank’s livery on its rear side panels.
