#mycyclingweekend - Is it warm enough yet?

Is it time to get your short sleeved jerseys out? Win an Adidas jersey with #cyclesurgery this weekend!

While #mycyclingweekend entries might not be the best way to determine which season we're in, we're fairly certain given the number of daffodils, sunny mornings, and how few bib tights we're seeing that spring is upon us.

It's springing at least.

This weekend, to celebrate that, Cycle Surgery are offering £100 worth of Adidas jersey to the best entry of the weekend. The only catch is that you include the #cyclesurgery hashtag in your #mycyclingweekend post. Simple.

It really is very important for you to remember to include that #cyclesurgery hashtag if you're interested in the jersey below, though.

Remember to tag #cyclesurgery with this week's @road.cc #mycyclingweekend and be in with a chance to win this Adidas jersey!

The jersey itself is an Adidas Adistar Short Sleeve Jersey, which usually retails at £99.99.

To get your hands on the top prize, you'll have to show us that it's spring where you are, and also that it's warm enough for you.

Maybe you're sitting pretty in the south, and you'll find yourself cruising through a lovely sunny afternoon like beersbikeandbistro, michael100 and millviewbarns on Instagram.

Whether that's a shot of a stunning sunrise or sunset, some pretty springtime flowers by the side of the road, or you in your shorts under blue skies.

Or maybe you'd like to go down another route. Perhaps you live somewhere a bit further north. Maybe your #mycyclingweekend will feel wintry and cold. Maybe, though, you can prove to us that the cold is in your veins and that it's always warm enough for you.

Alternatively, use a spring staple, like Classics season as your inspiration. That's what Instagram user samkhamtonwong did. He found his own little bit of Europe in central London. Flanders eat your heart out.

As the weather's on the turn it might be a good opportunity to give your bike a spring clean.

Last week's #mycyclingweekend competition winner Leonard Lee put his Muc-Off prizes to good use and used a sunny evening bring out the sparkle in his beloved bike.

He wasn't alone either:

So, send us your springtime photos. Show us that it's warm enough for you, and win a fantastic Adidas jersey.

To win, remember, fire over your photo on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter, with both the #mycyclingweekend hashtag, as well as the #cyclesurgery one!

5C with northeastrly winds and grey skies are not time for shorts, there seem to be a few people who think otherwise judging on what I see on the rosds.

they are wrong. bib knicker maybe, definitel;y not shorts.  there is no case for bearing knees, which are not warmed by blood circulation and suffer from the cold in the weather we have now.

You're joking, right? The temperature may be creeping up slightly but there's still a cutting wind here in London. I'm not baring an inch more flesh than necessary.

What's that you say? £99 jersey? Well hey, what the hell, it's only hypothermia...

Still way to cold for short sleeves, only 7 degrees celcius even with the sun out!!

Still nice hilly ride, 60km trip north of Copenhagen.

I'm on a mid ride stop in Wells (came from Bristol) and it's not bloody spring on top of the Mendips. I read this headline before I left and headed out without overshoes - if I lose a toe it's Road.cc's fault!

What is this bollocks about spring?!  Have you lot seen the forecast for Spain and thought it was Blighty?  It's 4 degrees today and tomorrow, lots of grey cloud.  NOT spring, and NOT time for shorts or short sleeves...

Not around Lincolnshire. Maybe the odd day here and there where it was considered, but really I was glad wore my long bibshorts, overshoes, baselayer and top. It is getting there but better to be slightly warm than cold.

No it's not bloody warm enough for a short sleeved jersey!

Is it the 17th of August? No, so it's not time for short sleeves!
