Video: Peter Sagan on Milan-San Remo, and wearing the rainbow jersey

Tinkoff rider among the favourites for Saturday's opening Monument of 2016...

It’s Milan-San Remo this Saturday, and ahead of the opening Monument of 2016 one of the favourites for the race, world champion Peter Sagan, has been talking about his thoughts on the race and what it means to wear the rainbow bands he won in Richmond, Virginia last September.

The video is the first in this season’s I Am Specialized season, and was filmed around the Strade Bianche earlier this month.

That race was won by one of Sagan’s big rivals for this weekend’s Classicissima di Primavera, Fabian Cancellara of Trek Factory Racing, who will be riding it for the final time and seeking his second win there.

Tinkoff rider Sagan comes to the race after a narrow – not to mention unlikely – second place overall at Tirreno-Adriatico, won by BMC Racing’s Greg Van Avermaet, the pair benefiting from the cancellation of Sunday’s queen stage that would ordinarily have seen them fall down the General Classification.
