Cycling deals: a sub-£300 cyclocross bike + Cateye & socks

A Verenti Isolation CX bike tops today's DealCatcher + 31% off a CatEye Volt 800 & DeFeet Levitators...

The mud looks set to get worse before it gets better in 2016, so why not take advantage of it and let the DealCatcher help you get into cyclocross in one of the most cost efficient and fun ways we've seen.

Verenti's Isolation cyclocross bike tops the order in today's DealCatcher. Wiggle have it on sale for under £300, and at that price you're unlikely to find a better deal to help you get stuck into the mud this winter.

After that there's a blinding deal on a CatEye Volt 800, which we gave a 9/10 to when we reviewed it. You'll be able to read that review under the listing below.

Finally, Vanilla Bikes are offering 30% off their DeFeet Levitator socks. If your feet are overheating in all of your wet weather and winter footwear, these could be the perfect solution for you.

If you're after a do-it-all winter bike, a trainer, an introductory cyclocross set-up, or an urban commuter that'll stand up to the winter wash-out we're currently experiencing, look no further.

The Isolation CX1.2 is brilliantly set up, what with its aluminium Reynolds frame, Shimano CX-specific singlespeed groupset (42 tooth chainring), Avid BB5 disc brakes.

We recently had Verenti's budget road bike, the Technique in for test. Our tech editor Dave Arthur absolutely loved it. It walked away with a 9/10.

Check out that review for a taste of what you're likely to get with the Isolation.

What more needs to be said about a front light than the verdict of our reviewer Ash Quinlan?

He said the CatEye Volt 800 is:

"A top performer with a blindingly strong 800 lumen setting"

Oh, wait, in the first paragraph of his review Ash goes on to say:

"It's quite possibly the best single-barrel LED front light on the market right now."

If you need any more convincing you can read Ash's full review below, but let us tell you this now: it's good. Really good.

Vanilla Bikes

30% off Defeet Levitator Lite Tall 5" Socks
WAS £9.99 | NOW £6.99

Finally, this will seem like a strange one, given the month we're in and the weather that we're currently experiencing.

However, a few of you may be experiencing some problems with your feet. Sure the weather's been wet, but it's not been bitingly cold, at least not regularly, and at least not in the south - sorry northerners.

So, if you're heading out for your rides in thermal cycling shoes, as well as your waterproof overshoes, and your feet are getting a little sticky, maybe it's time to go against the grain and try out some summer socks.

Alternatively, take advantage of this great deal and get yourself a pair for when the weather really improves.
