Video: Movistar mechanic assembles bike blindfold

How good do you need to be to make it as a spanner monkey in the WorldTour? Watch this

How good do you have to be to make it as a mechanic for a UCI WorldTour team? Well, good enough to be able to assemble a bike blindfold, if this video from Movistar is anything to go by.

At the end of the video from the team that topped the UCI World Ranking this year, it cuts to the riders, also blindfolded, with the caption, “Now it’s up to them. They’re getting ready.”

Given the huge 6 month saga I and other have had in buying one of their bikes, I think they also run their corporate systems blindfolded too.

Assembling a bike blindfold is nothing. I gather that Halfords have been doing it for years (allegedly)
