Electric Bike magazine launches August
Electric bikes get their own magazine and website
Publishers of a new magazine Electric Bike claim it will be the first consumer magazine worldwide dedicated to the fast-growing market for electric-assisted bikes. The first issue will be out in August 2010 and published quarterly.
Electric Bike is a spin-off from Velo Vision magazine which celebrates 10 years and 40 issues later in the year.
According to Velo Vision Editor and Publisher Peter Eland, "Direct requests from electric bike industry figures for more e-bike coverage convinced us that the time is right to launch a dedicated publication for this growing sector of the market."
Electric Bike will be free and distributed via participating dealers and and to the 2,500+ enthusiast subscribers to Velo Vision magazine. Postal subscriptions will be available for readers worldwide and there will also be full and free online edition and website.
Promising "Clear jargon-busting and beginner-friendly buying advice as well as news from the electric bike world on products, events and more, Peter Eland continues, "This is an exciting time for the UK electric bike industry and Electric Bike will be an essential part of its future. We're confident of strong industry support to make this magazine a real boost to the whole electric bike sector."
There will be a public launch of the new magazine this Saturday 8th May at the
Tour de Presteigne Electric Bike Rally.
