Trans Am Bike Race documentary to get another UK screening

Inspired to Ride follows 45 cyclists as they ride, unsupported, across the United States

The Trans Am Bike Race documentary, Inspired to Ride, is to get another UK screening at Look Mum No Hands’ Mare Street café in London. Here’s the trailer.

The film follows a handful of cyclists from around the world as they ride unsupported in last year’s inaugural edition of the 4,233 mile transcontinental race across the United States. With no teams, no support vehicles, no special jerseys and no prize money, it’s a very different sort of bike race.

Competitors rode 300 miles a day with only a few hours’ sleep. Mike Hall, a 33-year-old from Harrogate who won the men’s category, took slightly more than two and a half weeks to cover the route.

The film will be shown at 7pm on Thursday September 3 and tickets can be reserved here. There are only 80 tickets available and while extra viewing space may be available on the night, seating isn’t guaranteed without a booking.

Alex has written for more cricket publications than the rest of the road.cc team combined. Despite the apparent evidence of this picture, he doesn't especially like cake.
