New frames and new kit on the way too as team prepare for a test in the Essex marshes

Things are coming together for Team Kuota-road.cc, this week team director, Cherie Pridham and our two Dutch riders, Jef de Bruin and JJ headed up to Kuota UK's Ormskirk HQ to see their new Kuota Kebel frames which will be built up for them with SRAM wheels and componentry. The bikes will be ready next week as will the new kit – we'll be posting pics as soon as the team strip lands.

In the meantime the guys are preparing for tomorrow's Dengie Tour of the Marshes, a little slice of Belgium in the Essex Marshes a tough ride, against a top field, over farm roads with the wind whipping in off the North Sea and, depending on which weather forecast you believe, the chance of some typically Belgian weather too. Good luck lads!

We'll let you know how they get on tomorrow…

Plucked from the obscurity of his London commute back in the mid-Nineties to live in Bath and edit bike mags our man made the jump to the interweb back in 2006 as launch editor of a large cycling website somewhat confusingly named after a piece of navigational equipment. He came up with the idea for road.cc mainly to avoid being told what to do… Oh dear, issues there then. Tony tries to ride his bike every day and if he doesn't he gets grumpy, he likes carbon, but owns steel, and wants titanium. When not on his bike or eating cake Tony spends his time looking for new ways to annoy the road.cc team. He's remarkably good at it.
