Join us on the first road.cc track day at Newport Velodrome

We're taking to the boards on Monday 22 June, fancy joining us?...

What with Wiggo smashing the hour record on Sunday and team GB still being a dominant force in the world, track cycling's profile is as high as it's ever been. But it's also a very accessible part of cycle sport, and one that's masses of fun.

That's why road.cc are hosting their first track day at Newport velodrome on Monday 22 June, from 9am to 12pm. If you've never had a go on the boards it'll be an excellent introduction, and if you've got a bit of experience we'll make sure we keep you amused...

Gurning is optional

We'll be running two groups, one for beginners and one for people who have already learnt some of the basics. There'll be a fully-trained coach to help you improve your riding, and of course the road.cc team will be on hand. Of course it'll get competitive sooner or later, and there'll be prizes on the day for all sorts of stuff. Plus a schwag grab, free energy gels, tea and coffee and the sparkling wit and repartee of the road.cc team. Bring some sarnies, because it's hungry work!

Book now and save £5 on your place

Places on the track day are £40 each, but get in early and we'll give you a fiver off! Use code ROADTRACK5 when you check out for your discount. If you need to hire a track bike, you can do it on the day; it's £7.50 per person.

Dave is a founding father of road.cc, having previously worked on Cycling Plus and What Mountain Bike magazines back in the day. He also writes about e-bikes for our sister publication ebiketips. He's won three mountain bike bog snorkelling World Championships, and races at the back of the third cats.

I'm in!

FYI, it's 5% off not a fiver. So that'll be £2.

Likewise, I`ll be on a big boat in the Med somewhere 1
Would love a go on track at some point, so I hope a similar chance comes up again.

Would normally jump at the chance, but sadly I will be otherwise engaged in Provence on the date in question 16
