Video: Revolution Series signs off with another "longest lap"

Race that starts with trackstands has proved one of the hits of this year's competition...

Back in October, when we posted an article about a bizarre track race from the United States called the Marymoor Crawl, we had no idea that it would turn into one of the most memorable events of this season's Revolution Series, which finished on Saturday in Manchester.

But that's exactly what happened, with event organisers FACE Partnership spotting our post and deciding to trial the format - to such success that it has quickly become a crowd pleasing addition to the programme.

What's more, something that began as an event at a regional track meet in Redmond, Washington State in the Pacific North West of the United States now regularly features, thanks to the adoption of it by the Revolution Series, world and Olympic champions from Great Britain and elsewhere.

On Saturday, Manchester saw the final staging of the race this season; sit back and enjoy the video.
