Design your own jersey competition - winning designs from Spirit Cycling

Take a look at a selection of the winning designs

Late last year, we ran a competition with those fine folk at Spirit Cycling for you to design your own jersey. Now that the winners have had their jerseys produced, we’re delighted to be able to show you a selection. You’re a stylish lot, aren’t you?

While all of the jerseys in the gallery above are short sleeved, Spirit are keen for you all to know that they can also produce long sleeve jerseys as well as all sorts of other gear, such as bib shorts, gilets, caps and even skin suits.

But let’s have a look at a handful of the jerseys. It’s worth noting that all were designed by the winners and were merely ‘tidied’ by Spirit.

First up, the Cummings plays on the old ‘eat, sleep, ride, repeat’ line.

Next, the otherwise subtle McKenzie has a Space Invaders vibe going on.

Finally, the Nichol with its strong sense of place.

It also has the Angel of the North on the front for good measure.

Front and back shots of these and a few other jerseys can be seen in the gallery at the top of the page. Congratulations to all our winners and thanks also to Spirit Cycling for their handiwork.

Alex has written for more cricket publications than the rest of the road.cc team combined. Despite the apparent evidence of this picture, he doesn't especially like cake.

I'm surprised that bigger companies haven't jumped on the band wagon of 'football jerseys' replicated as cycling ones. Cyclist do support other things other than cycling...who's going to be brave enough?

Couldn't agree more, I think they are missing a source of revenue her. Would love an Everton cycle shirt though I think I would pass lots of people but never win lol. I got and EFC headset cap made and I know a rider with a similar Sunderland cap.

Tis a bit of a miricle the premier league have missed this one

Yep, couldn't agree more, but that's not the point.

I am one of the lucky winners and my design is amongst those shown and it wouldn't win any prizes, but it is personal. It's about me and the things that are important to me. There will never be another one like it which makes it unique.

I'd like to say thank you to to Simon and everyone else at Spirit for sponsoring the giveaway and for realising my design.

Likewise, just have to wait until the 2 weeks of summer to wear it though.

And again a thanks to Simon at Spirit for agreeing to change what had and didn't have to be on the finished jersey. And I'm looking forward to the new club kit coming from them as well.
