Danny MacAskill rides loop-the-loop in latest video stunt - official video

On a floating barge on the River Thames, Danny MacAskill wows crowds by riding a loop-the-loop

YouTube sensation and highly skilled tricks cyclist Danny MacAskill has been wowing crowds in London by riding a loop-the-loop on a floating barge on the river Thames in front of the London Eye.

Scotland's MacAskill needs little introduction.  Some of his previous videos, whereby he performs often mind-blowing tricks and insane stunts, have gone on to be viewed by millions. This video might not be up there with his best such as Imaginate and The Ridge, and of course his first video filmed back in 2009 (and which now has over 35 million views) but it’s certainly an impressive spot of riding.

David worked on the road.cc tech team from 2012-2020. Previously he was editor of Bikemagic.com and before that staff writer at RCUK. He's a seasoned cyclist of all disciplines, from road to mountain biking, touring to cyclo-cross, he only wishes he had time to ride them all. He's mildly competitive, though he'll never admit it, and is a frequent road racer but is too lazy to do really well. He currently resides in the Cotswolds, and you can now find him over on his own YouTube channel David Arthur - Just Ride Bikes

It's all an advert for Microsoft's virtual assistant, Cortana.

Is naming the new assistant Cortana an in-joke with the guys at Bungie or something? That was the name of the Master Chiefs computerised assistant in Halo, wasn't it? Or has my memory failed me?

Yes. Halo is a Microsoft property, so they named the personal assistant in Windows Phone the same thing.
