Wiggle Super Series 2015 launched today – but you’d best get in quick!

Return of popular events including Wiggle New Forest Spring Sportive and Wiggle Magnicat – some expected to sell out very quickly

With the clocks set to go back this weekend and the weather turning distinctly autumnal, here’s an opportunity to keep you motivated during the months ahead – the launch of the 2015 Super Series, with places on dozens of the country’s top rides now on sale.

This year’s 45 events, including the Wiggle New Forest Spring Sportive and the Wiggle Magnificat attracted some 60,000 riders, and seven in 10 of the rides sold out well in advance.

There’s the same number of events next year – 38 on the road, seven for mountain bikes – and once again, there’s the option of doing some cross-Channel riding with the return of the Wiggle French Revolution and Wiggle French Resistance sportives.

There’s even a free event – the Wiggle No Excuses Sportive – which this year saw the 2,000 riders who were lucky enough to nab a place raise more than £25,000 for the charity, Prostate Cancer UK.

Martin Barden from Wiggle Super Series organisers, UK Cycling Events, said: “Uptake and feedback for the 2014 Wiggle Super Series was absolutely phenomenal. It was our biggest calendar of events so far.

“In response to the demand we are expanding the Wiggle Super Series in 2015 with an additional 4 exciting new events that will provide even more people the opportunity to get out and ride. These new events will be launched in early December”

Wiggle’s sponsorship manager, Andrew Whillas, said: “At Wiggle we are passionate about helping everybody, every day, everywhere experience the thrill of the ride and with 45 Wiggle Super Series events next year all over the country there’s something for everyone on the 2015 calendar.

“The Wiggle Super Series events offer riders of all abilities a hassle free experience and the opportunity to ride with the confidence that there is a fantastic support network behind them all the way.”

Every event in the Wiggle Super Series has fully-stocked feed stations and mechanical support, provision of a timing chip, massages, bike-washing facilities, and finishers get a medal, t-shirt and certificate.

Places can only be booked via the Wiggle website, and with some events likely to sell out very quickly, it pays to be quick – not least because of the early bird incentive which, as in previous years, gives you a free nutrition pack worth £10 if you book an event more than eight weeks in advance.
