Lance Armstrong stars in video debut of new RadioShack jersey

One-nil to Sky in the battle of the new Pro Tour team jerseys?

Team RadioShack today released a video starring their new team jersey and with their main man, Lance Armstrong in cameo supporting role. Dodgeball it ain't (which may or may not be a good thing depending on your point of view) and like the jersey itself the vid may well divide opinion – judge for yourself by watching it below.

It gets a big thumbs down in these parts (well, it makes cycling journos look like muppets which was never going to play well), luckily the jersey is nowhere near as bad. Red is the colour for Radioshack, it matches the team groupset from SRAM and we'll all just have to get used to the idea of Lance heading up a red train… after all those years in various shades of blue. There's a lot going on though what with the Trek charcoal grey yoke around the chest and the titanium (that's what we're calling it) coloured bits - the whole effect as a slightly 80s feel to it… or maybe that's just us.

Is it as smart as the new Team Sky strip with it's blue line? Hmm, we don't think so but taste is such a personal thing - what do you reckon?

Does not have "spark" for me but I am confident Lance will be able to change my perspective on it.

Sky has the best looking new kit IMHO

Poor but not that bad. I quite like the return of red to the peloton. Seems it's been missing for a few years now.

But obviously prefer the much more stylee teal Sky strip. 4

My money says he was using his phone to tell all his followers on Twitter how lame he thought the ad was, but I haven't been able to track down that particular tweet yet 3

A thoroughly embarassing video from the Shack team. Not remotely amusing or insightful. No wonder Lance shakes his head.

Gets an F.
